  • How much do lessons cost?

Depending on the length of a lesson, prices range between £40 and £60

  • Are you qualified to work with children?

I’m fully DBS checked and have taught the Trumpet in schools for almost a decade. As well as a degree in music, I have taken part in numerous rounds of safeguarding training to ensure the safety of all children I teach.

  • How long will it take to sound good?

The trumpet is an instrument that requires patience, as it can be tricky to learn how to make sound. However, it is an extremely rewarding instrument and if you stay dedicated, you can expect to see great results within a year.

  • What age is right to start learning?

I have taught many young students, however due to teeth development, I recommend waiting until at least 7 years old before starting the Trumpet.

  • Where do lessons take place?

Lessons take place at Dance Attic Rehearsal Studios in Fulham Broadway. It’s a great lively space with lots of professional rehearsals going on daily.

There may be another teaching space in Chiswick in the future, but this depends on demand.

I have several online students, and this is a great option if you value convenience.

If you’re based in South London I can host lessons at my house.

I have spent years playing Jazz, Classical and Pop music, and have an eclectic taste in music. If there’s something in particular you’d like to learn just let me know- I’m open minded!

Lessons take place weekly during school term time. Additionally, lessons can be arranged during holidays.

  • Do you offer a trial lesson?

Yes, I do offer a one-off introductory session.

  • Do I need to own a trumpet before my first lesson?

No, I can provide an instrument for an introductory lesson. After that I’m very happy to advise on purchasing or hiring a trumpet.

  • Can I play the trumpet with Braces?

    Yes!

  • I'm an adult beginner - is it too late to start?

No, it’s never too late to discover the joy of learning an instrument. I’ve taught as many adults as I have children, and taken them from beginners to playing higher grades and advanced Jazz.

  • Can you advise on instrument maintenance?

Absolutely, I’ll teach you how to oil valves and clean the trumpet.
