Coming from the French Horn, I've always had a desire to learn the trumpet and play jazz. I knew deep down it was my instrument. Finding the right teacher was the next step for me, someone who shared the same passion for jazz as I do. It has been one of the biggest blessings to have found that perfect teacher.

At the start, I was able to set out what my goals were as well as previous experiences with music and learning instruments, very quickly Alistair was able to create the exact environment for me to learn and thrive in. Alistair is a fantastic trumpet player and a great teacher. I had never had or played a trumpet before meeting and in a few weeks I was playing. I am still very much a learner, but his observant way of seeing what works for each student and flexible way of adapting helped me tremendously while making learning fun and fullfiling. Alistair has been a breath of fresh air for us. We switched teachers to him three years ago when my son was 15 and suffering from a lack of confidence in his playing following over a year of dental treatment with orthodontic braces. My son is now preparing for his Music A-level.
