With over 22 years of playing experience and eight years as a professional educator, Alistair is a high-profile jazz trumpeter, session musician, and composer. An alumnus of the Royal College of Music Junior Department and The BRIT School, he performed with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra before earning a scholarship degree in Jazz Trumpet at the Royal Academy of Music.
As an active freelance artist, Alistair has recorded for global pop icons like WizKid and Stefflon Don, and regularly performs at legendary venues like Ronnie Scott’s, The Vortex, Pizza Express Jazz Club and the 606 Club. His critically acclaimed debut jazz album, Oblivion, has surpassed 250,000 streams on Spotify, and he recently composed for the Royal College of Music JD Big Band.
Alistair’s eclectic career equips him with extensive expertise across Jazz, Classical, and Pop. Dedicated to helping students of all ages unlock their potential, he specializes in building strong technical foundations- drawing on his own experience overcoming embouchure hurdles- and expertly prepares musicians for graded exams, conservatoire auditions, real-world industry success, or just playing for enjoyment!
